This week, I am pulling from the Dust II Onyx, A Melanated Tarot Deck by Courtney A. Alexander. This will be for the time of Monday May 24th to May 31st, 2021. This reading is to feel out the collective energy of the week. It may be used as a guide, to assist with journal prompts and can be applied personally. Mama Coin

The first words I heard when I pulled this card were "Pace yourself." Mama Coin has spent decades building a legacy that will stand the test of time. If you are working to build something sustainable and lasting, you cannot rush. Coins are connected to the element of earth. Earth represents personal and financial growth, creating stability, grounding, nurturing our bodies, the sensory realm and security.
This card and the energy of the week is asking, "What are you building? What are you trying to grow?"When we ask this question, we also have to consider what we may need to remove. Just like when we start a garden, there is a process. We need to plant our seeds, provide them with sun and water. However, we also need to clear space, dig holes and prune away excess debris and foliage. What is the excess you want to remove this week? What are the things that may be hindering your creations/stability/relationships?
This Wednesday, the 26th, we have a Super Moon and lunar eclipse in one. The energy of this Mama Coin is about taking stock of what you've grown, what you're proud of and the legacy you want to continue to build. This moon in the center of the week makes the entire week a good time for this kind of reflection. Find some ways to be kind to yourself, to treat yourself well and to give yourself kudos for your own growth.
Finally, I see some things about mothering in this card. Mothering ourselves, mothering our communities, mothering our passions. Mothering can be done by any gender, though feminine energy and its recipients tend to be the stewards of this art. Where can you add some tenderness, some care, some consistent love into your goals? To your routine? Your projects? Your loved ones? Yourself? These will be important areas of reflection and an important act throughout the week.
I hope you have a great week!
